Council of Islamic Ideology to review film 'Zindagi Tmasha':Firdous Ashiq Awan
The central censor board has decided to approach the Council of Islamic Ideology for a critical review of Sarmad Khoosat's directional Zindagi Tmasha , Firdous Ashiq Awan, said on Tuesday.
The special assist to the Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting tweeted film has also been directed to postpone the release of the film.
Earlier, the censor authorities in Punjab and Sindh announced that they were banning the release of the movie. directed and co-produced by Sarmad Khoosat along with his sister Kanwal Khoosat, Zindagi Tmasha is bilingual movie shot in Lahore.
Written by Nimral Bano, a fresh graduate from Lahore's National College of Arts (NCA), the film features model-turned actress Eman Suleman, Samiya Mumtaz, Arif Hasan and Ali Qureshi in pivotal roles, in the upcoming film.
Atiqa Odho Expresses solidarity with Sarmad Koosat after 'Zindagi Tmasha' faces ban
Film and TV Star Atiqa Odho on Tuesday voiced support for Sarmad Khoosat after his film Zindagi Tmahsa was banned from release by the state's censor authorities.
The veteran TV actor took to Instagram to show solidarity with the filmmaker.
Sharing a picture of Sarmad, Odho wrote, "film Art under threat and we should not sit back and allow this to happen....#istandwithsarmadkhoosat#zindgitmasha Sarmad Khoosat,"
Hour after the censor board in Sindh and Punjab banned the film, Prime Minister's information advisor Firdous ashiq Awan said the Central censor board has decided to approach the Council of Islamic Ideology for a critical review of sarmad Khoosat's directorial Zindagi Tmasha
